Pub Can Records is what we like to call these days a DIY or “Do It Yourself” record label, based in the Philadelphia area. The main differences between a DIY and other indie labels comes down to smaller investment and less interference. More and more DIY labels are popping up because of the shift in today’s industry which has given the artist all of the tools needed to market their own products. DIY’s provide an artist with a great development team as well as sales and accounting, but ensure that the artist will see a larger piece of the pie.
We have been building this label for about 3 or 4 years now on the idea that although many artists can promote their own material through the various web-related tools, many can still use the assistance of a good producer, product development team, sales and accounting.
